Thinking a lot about the demise of feminism and the young ladies of today. Glad to know it still exists in some form. Wouldn't have thought so though, the way things are.
The UK government spending money on creating adverts to let young women know its wrong for their boyfriends to call them names, undermine them, hit them, as the recent Shane Meadows advert shows.. (I wonder if he donated any of his fee to charity) they need it because at the same time the UK government are closing down refuges for women and children, battered and tortured women and children escaping from the clutches of controlling bullying men thrown onto the street to access their support at 'walk-in centres'...
Still women are not on equal pay, still women are controlled day to day.
Now women think their tits and ass are their power- wrong kind of power sister.
Get this!- I was at my girls primary school valentines disco (ages 3-10) the other evening when a small boy from my daughters class (age 8) came over to her with 2 other boys and said ''yeah dance for us, shake your butt and I will pay you £2'' !! good grief, where did he come from?...oh yeah, the world around him.
We could lazily blame the parents alone or we could start looking to ourselves as well. Our compliance with all this degradation. Nuts, Loaded, The Star, The Sun..to name but some. All at eye level, integrated in our existences, normal everyday life.
My daughter went on to tell him that Girls cannot be bought with cash...confusing I guess as this is not the message he obviously gets from society.
HEAVY
Now for something lovely.
A woman named Emma Lazenby won the short film Bafta for her animation 'Mother of many' which was inspired by her Mother, a midwife.
